Description
These cases arose out of an automobile accident occurring on April 7, 1957, on highway 141 in the Town of New Denmark, Brown
county, between a station wagon driven by Gilbert E. Lewis and a farm truck owned by Thomas Bradley and driven by his son,
the defendant, Raymond Bradley. The defendant United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co. was the insurer of Thomas Bradley
on his truck. The appellant Superior Mutual Insurance Co. insured the defendant Raymond Bradley on a Plymouth coupe, and respondent
Milwaukee Automobile Mutual Insurance Co. insured Gilbert E. Lewis. In case No. 314 Gertrude Lewis, a passenger in her husband's car, sued for damages for his wrongful death and for her personal
injuries. In case No. 315 Emma Dalman sued for damages for her personal injuries and for the wrongful death of her husband,
John C. Dalman, and in case No. 316 Emma Dalman, as executrix of the last will and testament of John C. Dalman, sued for the
expenses her deceased husband incurred because of her injuries. Both Dalmans were guests in the station wagon driven by Lewis.
In case No. 317 John Zimmerman and Amanda Zimmerman, also guests in the station wagon, sued for their personal injuries. These
cases were consolidated for trial and appeal and the issue of the coverage of the appellant's policy was tried separately
to the court.
